Additions to Shannon Airport
Shannon Airport in the South West of Ireland is owned and operated by the Dublin
Airport Authority PLC with over 3600 employees
and turnover in excess of 560m Euro’s.
Shannon Airport itself is one of the fastest
growing airports in Europe in 2007 over 3.6
million people passed through the airport
and over 1.2 million people traveled on UK
routes.
This is why plettac Security UK Ltd are pleased to be associated
with Shannon Airport.

The system at Shannon uses the plettac POSA control system with primarily
the plettac FAC940 cameras and the plettac SV106/206 dome cameras. These are mainly cabled back using CAT5 cabling
and plettac’s LE90 twisted pair transmission system. For cameras further away from the building
Fibre Optic Transmission equipment has been
utilised, all the cameras come back to the
main control room and are then recorded on
plettac SentiO digital video recording systems. plettac Security recently added a number of FAC940
type cameras with additional fibre optic transmission equipment
